Early Life
Ole was born April 7, 1891, in the village of Filskov, Denmark. He was the tenth child of Jens Niels Christiansen and Kirstine Christiansen. When he was 14 years old (1905), he was an apprentice to his older brother, Kristian Bonde Christiansen, to learn carpentry. Later, in 1911, Ole left Denmark to work as a carpenter, first Germany, then Norway. Ole returned to Denmark in 1916, and bought the Billund Maskinsnedkeri og Tømreforretning. Later, he married Kirstine Sörensen, and had 4 children. Johannes Christiansen (1917), Karl Georg Kirk Chrsitiansen (1919), Godtfred Kirk Christiansen (1920), and Gerhardt Kirk Christiansen (1926).
